Cristiano Ronaldo will move to Real Madrid next season. Good news or bad news? It really depends on whose side you are in. Manchester United accepted a world-record £80 million bid offer from Real Madrid for the star player. This one exceeds the Kaka deal weeks ago. Though the transfer is not yet final, Real was already given the permission to talk to the Portugal winger. And with Ronaldo’s heart set to join the Galacticos, there is no one and nothing that can prevent this from happening.

Roger Federer vs Rafael Nadal in Wimbledon 2009 Finals! That is my men’s tennis finals predictions. And it is also a match every tennis fan is waiting for – a repeat of the 2008 finals.

Last year, I held my breath many times in that crucial finals game. I watched it live on cable TV as the mighty Roger Federer finally succumbed to the young Spaniard’s pressure at the grass. I wanted to ask why, but I reminded myself that it was not my game, and Roger knows why he lost.

We all know that Pacquiao will fight this year. But who is the opponent? The boxing scribes put up various scenarios and some even ranked them according to the risks and probabilities. My version of the scenarios here is solely based on my readings and of course, my imagination.

Pacquiao vs Cotto – They say that this is the easiest thing to do for the promoter because the two fighters are under Top Rank. At what weight? At what prize? Miguel Cotto is a Puerto Rican, right? Kaka Is Now A Real Madrid Player

Kaka, the 27-year old 2007 Ballon D’Or and FIFA World Player of the year from Brazil, is now a Real Madrid player. The speculations are now over though everybody thought that this transfer was imminent.

If reports suggesting that the transfer fee is around £58.9m are accurate, the deal surpasses the previous world record of £47m set by Real in 2001 when they bought Zinedine Zidane from Juventus. There are only four men left standing as of this writing: Robin Soderling vs Fernando Gonzales, Roger Federer vs Juan Martin del Potro. Who would come out as the victor for the 2009 French Open Men’s Singles? Now that Rafael Nadal, the defending champion and four-time winner, was eliminated early by a surging Swede, can we say that this is now Roger Federer’s time to get hold of the elusive title that evaded him and Pete Sampras in the past?

Should we now say that the 2009 French Open title is now in Roger Federer’s grasp? The defending champion Rafael Nadal was defeated yesterday by a player whose name I couldn’t recall. Thanks to him!

Roger can now finally tie Pete Sampras’ all-time record of 14 Grand Slam wins. He could even surpass Pistol Pete because the American wasn’t able to win a title at Roland Garros. I really wonder what’s wrong with these guys? They’ve mastered all other surfaces except clay. And that’s where Rafael Nadal is the current King. He lately brought Roger to tears as he defeated the Swiss in Wimbledon and the latest Australian Open. Federer has yet to win a title at Roland Garros despite the 3 Australian Opens, 5 Wimbledons and 5 U.S. Open trophies.
