The government has named Manny Pacquiao as special envoy for peace and understanding and he might be tapped as peace moderator in the conflict between the government and Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) or the notorious Abu Sayyaf.

“I will do my best for the peace of our country. Like what I said, ‘I live my life like everyday is the last’ that’s why whatever they want me to do I will do it,” he said, as quoted from Sunstar. Manny Pacquiao, Asia’s boxing idol, is willing to die for the Philippines. That will further cement his status as a hero.

Bravo! I remember Da King FPJ with those words. Not even the brightest politician can declared those words. Only a hero can. And I would like to picture Manny ala Rambo.

Is he serious about it? We all know that he is busy preparing for the Pacquiao vs Cotto duel this November. What good can it bring to him? Can it also draw him voters for the 2010 elections? Do you think he should agree to the government’s proposal?

Honestly, I’m afraid he might be kidnapped while doing the peace talk. He’s worth billions don’t you think?
