Z Gorres vs Luiz Melendez fight results. Gorres wins over Melendez on a unanimous decision. But before the final bell rang, a combination of punches from the Colombian knocked him out. He got up, recovered and beat the count. The 27 year old Filipino fighter was celebrating his victory when his knees buckled and he collapsed.
He was put on a stretcher and rushed to the University Medical Center in Las Vegas where he was placed in critical condition. He was put into a medically induced coma and will undergo operations to remove a clot on the left side of his brain.
Let us all pray for Gorres’ swift recovery.

How horrible! I hope he makes it. I wonder why more boxers don’t learn from Ali – it’s just too hard on the human brain, and no one knows when to quit, especially when they’re winning.
