AC Milan vs Inter Milan, January 24, 2010. The two Italian giants will battle it out to claim who’s the Boss in the Milan derby, and in the Serie A Scudetto title as a whole. Inter is leading by 6 points and a game ahead, while AC Milan is chasing along with the rejuvenated Ronaldinho and the English star David Beckham.
AC Milan
Originally, AC Milan is Milan’s football club as it was founded in 1899. It is simply called “Milan” in Italy. This club has a winning history, having won the most (18) internally recognized titles, and 17 Italian league titles. It has also won the European Cup seven times.
The key players of AC Milan includes the solid goalie, Dida, the prolific striker, Filippo Inzaghi, the English playmaker David Beckham, and the great Brazilian player, Ronaldinho, whom I considered as one of the best soccer players in the world today. They’ve won their last four games, including a blow-out of Juventus, 3-0, and the trampling of Siena, 4-0.
Milan Manager Leonardo will not have a hard time in choosing his players even if they are facing Inter. As long as the Beckham, Inzaghi and Ronaldinho plays well, they can easily breeze through. And you have to watch out for Pato, too. The young player was recently awarded as the best young player of Italy.
Inter Milan (FC Internazionale)
Simply called “Inter”, the club was founded in 1908 as a breakaway from AC Milan. It is currently the defending Serie A champion, and the 2010 league leader ahead of Milan. This Milan derby, the second this season, will put to test the nerves of Manager Jose Mourinho and his team.
In the previous encounters, Inter won 4-0 in August. They also blanked the Rossoneri 2-0 in the World Football challenge. But this time around, Inter will miss the services of Samuel Eto’o, who is now playing with his Cameroon team at the African Nation’s Cup. The prolific and extremely dangerous striker had 8 goals for Inter this season.
Can Mourinho manage without Eto’o? I’m sure the Portuguese will have surprises up on his sleeves. Remember, he has not lost at home in eight years and in three different clubs.
Results Prediction
Milan vs Inter is a football game fans should never fail to watch. My results prediction is 2-1 win for Milan. Though I like Mourinho, I can not discount the fact that he lacks players that can match AC Milan’s squad in this derby. If Eto’o suddenly shows up on play date, my prediction will not be the same.

9-man Inter team won the derby. Milito and Pandev showed their class as Mourinho’s mastery at home remains unblemished. Final score was 2-0 for Inter.

Inter Milan is far a lot in stability compare to Juventus, plus the Old Lady is falling at this moment. Mourinho’s side should win this game but i expect a close victory. Small bet on Inter Milan.
